About Us
Welcome to NACW---the organization connecting Commissions for Women in states,
counties and cities across America. On our website you will find information
about legislation, policies and issues that impact the lives of women along
with our scheduled meetings and activities and those of other women’s
organizations are listed.
Through our website, you can join
us or renew your membership with NACW. You can access the latest newsletters,
read about current events and alerts and locate other NACW members in your region.
NACW is governed by a Board of Directors composed of an Executive Committee
which includes the President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary, and fourteen
Directors elected across the United States with only one Director from a state.
The National Office is located within the Montgomery County Commission for Women
in Rockville, Maryland.
NACW is the national advocate for government commissions for women which holds
a unique and positive position for women's equity and justice and touches millions
of women, playing a significant role in national policy and legislative development.
NACW, the advocate for all women, is the bridge between government and the
private sector. Our membership reflects all age, economic, ethnic and social
groups.
