Women's Finances
The National Association of Commissions for Women (NACW) is proud of its
long-term relationship with the U.S. Department of Labor Women’s Bureau.
Numerous collaborative projects and events have been established through
the leadership of the Women’s Bureau National and Regional Offices.
In an effort to help women become more knowledgeable about financial issues
that impact their lives, the Women’s Bureau created WI$E-UP, a free
financial education program and curriculum. The WI$E-UP curriculum helps
improve women’s personal money management skills and is available at www.wiseupwomen.org.
NACW is pleased to partner with the Heinz Family Philanthropies and Women's Institute for a Secure Retirement (WISER) in encouraging women to become knowledgeable about financial issues that impact them. These two
organizations have collaborated on an outstanding online book, available free of charge, to women and their families. Released in early July, this handy and accessible information provides easy-to-read and understand
information on those financial areas that are vital for women. For your copy, visit www.womensretirement.org
WISER provides ongoing information and reference material for women and their financial issues. Visit WISER at www.wiserwomen.org. Cindy Hounsel, JD is the WISER executive director who is widely respected for her work in women's financial education and advocacy.
Understanding your financial needs and learning about how to plan for your future are key elements to women's success. NACW is pleased to partner with organizations who are kindred spirits.
