Kitti Asberry
Oklahoma Commission on the Status of Women
State: Oklahoma Region: 6 Kitti Asberry is the Executive Director of the Oklahoma Commission on the Status of Women. As director, she is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the commission by working closely with government officials and the public to strengthen and empower women in Oklahoma by improving their opportunities and quality of life. She is a graduate of the University of Phoenix where she holds a Bachelor of Science in Business /Management, and a Master of Business Administration / Human Resources Management. In addition, she is a 1986 graduate of the George Meany School of Political Science and Labor Studies, in Washington, D.C. She is the founder and President of Women Involved N Change,(WINC) an organization created specially to engage Black women in art of activism. She is a member of the Board of Directors for Sally’s List, a nonpartisan organization that recruits and trains women to campaign for public office in Oklahoma. She is a founding member of Women Lead Oklahoma, an organization focused on empowering Oklahoma women to lead through education, resources and networking. She is also the Co-chair of the National Conversation on Board Diversity for Oklahoma. In addition, Kitti served as Secretary for the NACW and a member of the Board of Directors. Currently she is a member of the American Business Women’s Association. She is also a board member of both the American Cancer Society’s for Oklahoma, and Leadership OKC, Alumni Chapter. She has over forty years in organized labor as an International Union Representative, working with UAW Local 1999, and IBEW, Local 2021. Interested in the following teams/areas of NACW:
